Allison, Occupational Therapist

Allison is an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist with more than a decade of combined school-based and community mental health professional background. Her areas of expertise consists of supporting children, adolescents, adults, and elders with diverse developmental, physical, sensory, cognitive,

and mental health needs.

Allison is a skilled occupational therapy evaluator utilizing a broad range of therapeutic assessment tools.  She is accomplished at individualized treatment planning.

One of her many strengths include strong collaboration with individual served, families, and other disciplies.

She is recognized for interdisciplinary teamwork, ability to build strong relationships while delivering high-quality, client-centered, strengths-based care.

It provides a highly supportive, personalized way to build independence, manage sensory needs, and meet goals without leaving the comfort and safety of your own environment.

Path 1: Clinical Therapy Services

This path is a medical, rehabilitative intervention. It is designed to evaluate, diagnose, and treat specific functional deficits, developmental delays, or medical conditions using specialized, evidence-based modalities.

 

  • "Rooted Potential Occupational Therapy" Offers support via standard in person clinic or telehealth intervention.

 

Future Offerings:

  • The "Rooted Reins" program which provides Hippotherapy. This uses the purposeful movement of a horse to achieve clinical goals.

 

  • The "Rooted Paws" animal-assisted occupational therapy using a trained therapy animal).

Best For: Individuals of all ages who have a specific diagnosis (e.g., Autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, physical delays, anxiety) or a functional limitation that impacts their daily independence.

Access to programing may require a formal doctor's referral and a comprehensive OT evaluation. Care is monitored through clinical treatment plans and objective, measurable medical documentation, and all records are housed in a secure, HIPAA-compliant Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Financials: Private pay. If engagement in above programing is due to medical necessity and considered a medical service, clients can request a Superbill (with CPT and ICD-10 codes) to submit to their insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Path 2: Educational Advocacy,

Training, & Consulting

This path is a professional consulting service focused on navigating the educational system, protecting student rights, and collaborating with school districts.

Sub-Brands Included: "Rooted Potential Educational Advocacy"

Best For: Parents and guardians who need an expert to navigate the special education system, review school documents, and secure appropriate supports for their child.

 

Educational learning environments that need training or support around removing environmental barrirts to boost student participation. Train staff in shifting from a defecit focused lrens to strength based neurodiversity affirming approach across all grade levels. Core consulting or training topics in clude Sensory Friendly Classroom Design, Environmental Accessibility, Handwriting Accomodations, Executive Functions in the Clasroom, Co-regulaton for Educators, Navigating Playground Dynamics, Self Care at School etc.

Path 3: Community Wellness & Nature Groups

This path is a non-clinical, wellness-focused program. It focuses on general lifestyle design, outdoor skill-building, peer socialization, and proactive nervous system regulation using the healing power of nature and animals.

Sub-Brands Included: Rooted Sprouts (nature-based community and wellness groups); "Rooted Reins" Recreational Groundwork & Equine Learning involving non-riding, horse-assisted wellness activities.

Best For: Children and adults looking to build confidence, connect with peers, practice mindfulness, reduce stress, and develop outdoor regulatory strategies in an inclusive, natural environment.

Administrative Flow: No medical evaluation or diagnosis required. Managed through standard business with an enrollment application instead of medical intakes. Requires a signed Coaching/Wellness Service Agreement and an Outdoor Liability/Terrain Waiver.

Financials: Flat-rate group packages or subscription fees. Because these are wellness and recreational services, no CPT codes or Superbills are issued, and they are ineligible for insurance or HSA/FSA reimbursement.
